ABSTRACT: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Erosion was defined as the decline of shorline to landside direction from its original position. Erosion was occured by littoral sediment transport along shorline in wich sediment moves from one place to another place. Littoral sediment transport is occurred if waves from an angle to normal line of shoreline. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In Sarang Beach shoreline, the sediment littoral occurring is 17.624 m3/year, lead to decline of the shoreline. So far, the eroded areas comprise settlement area. The sediment moves from south east to north west direction. So far, the problem of erosion have been protect by contructing seawall. The revetment was laying about 200 meter long. However, both part of the protected <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> and unprotected shoreline is still eroded. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Through the study, shoreline change due to the erosion and its protected concept had been analyzed by parabolic method, which yield the suggestion activities as follows: contructing groyne series in eroded areas beside the existing in Sarang Beach, and the erosion can be protected.
