Abstrct: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> For thousand of years, human had used the elements of art in many ways or forms, as an effort to reach the healing of body and soul. The Ancient Greece used the existence the art of theatre, that showed the satyr as something that brings cathatrsys effect which have some function to clean ar heal the soul. On the process, this element <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> has an important part of the art, in a literal, art therapy meansteh unite of two discipline, which is between art and psychology. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This final script is focused on the reseachof visual element on the pictures tahtw as made by the Schizophrenics and drugs patient in Madani Home Care Institute. Besides that, this script is also research on the catharsys aspects on painting therapy and its <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> influence to themental recovery of the patients. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Madani Home Care is a non profit institute taht especially takes care to the patients who suffer from Schizophrenia and drugs dependence. On this institute, art <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> therapy has been applied in progressive way and it has given a positive final result to the patient mental recovery. This institutes has found in 1 September 2003. painting therapy method that has been developed in Madani Home Care was found by Badrus Zaman S.Sn. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The pictures that was examined in this script are made by Schizophrenia and drugs patient. At the process, those pictures will show and capture various of flaming <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> emotions and expressions of things that cannot describe by words, but it cuold be represent by symbols, colours, shape, characters, and brush strokes techniques. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The analize based on the psychoanalize therapy, Art Critics, and theories about Art Therapy. The result that appears in this research, is the appereance of many <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> visualisation of the basic shape such as triangle, square, and circle continually. And also thre is a pattern of cjanging visualisation, that cuold be an indicator which will show the level of patient recovery. Then, we can get the conclusion that art can be a media for patients mental recovery, especiallt for Schizophrenia and drugs patients. <br />
