It uses voice compression technology that gives efficiency and high bandwidth utilization and causes significant price reduction.<br /><p align="justify"><br />VoIP technology is one of the alternative solutions to cover the increment of mulltiservicestelecommunication network demand. As a new technology, it needs complete analysis in the field of technology, economy and QoS for both enterprise and public services.<br /><p align="justify"><br />This thesis describes some aspects of VoIP implementation included market driven, trend of telecommunication technology, competition, regulation and VoIP technology. PT. Telkom private network is taken as enterprise VoIP case study. For public service Volt' case study, Jakarta-Bandung toll bypass is taken. Techno-eoonomy concept is used as the method of implementation feasibility analysis.<br /><p align="justify"><br />The result of VoIP implementation analysis shows that VoW has good business prospect, very simple technique, low risk and fulfill's the commercial quality. The quality can be better guaranteed if VoIP is implemented in a private network that is separated from the public internet network. VoiPf technology in enterprise (PT. Telkom) uses codec G.729 (8 Kbps) standard can reduce the operational cost up to 79% and give payback period of investment within 4.98 months. Jakarta Bandung VoIP public service implementation case, that used G.729 codec standard and interest rate 2%, is very feasible in which NPV parameter 3,434,935,400 rupiahs, IRR = 21% and payback period within 4.70 months. text
