Description
Summary:Prospects Marisa region is one of the areas in Gorontalo Province that has the potential for valuable minerals such as gold with the type of low sulphidation gold mineralization with characteristic alterations found in the form of pyrite, pyrophyllite quartz. Geophysical mapping using the magnetic method is used to determine the distribution of lithology and mineral alteration under the surface in the study area by referring to existing geological data. In the research, there are 3 stages carried out using the magnetic method, the first stage is field data acquisition, data processing includes daily variation correction and IGRF (International Geomagnetics Reference Field), and contour map making and 2D Forward Modeling. Quantitative interpretation is carried out by analyzing the results of 2D Forward Modeling on the Total Magnetic Intensity (TMI) map section. The results of the study obtained two high anomalies which were interpreted as intrusive andesite rocks with a susceptibility value of 0.001786 SI and two low anomalies in the west-northwest in the study area with a susceptibility value of 0.0000255 SI which could be interpreted as silica quartz pyrite minerals.
