Description
Summary:The hospitality industry is one of the sectors of the tourism industry that has had a major impact from the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the Tourism Trends Book issued by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, the pandemic that has occurred has changed the tourism business landscape that has been built solidly into a new business landscape which was later referred to as the "Megashift Industry". A number of changes after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the hotel business to adapt itself to the current situation. The design method in this thesis is carried out using 2 different approaches, namely research methods and design methods. The merging of these 2 methods is carried out in order to obtain optimal data. The research method was carried out by means of literature studies, interview techniques, and data analysis techniques. The design method is carried out by analyzing all the data that has been collected to produce post-pandemic hotel resort design principles. The design is then continued by programming the space and facilities that will be provided in the hotel building which have been adapted to the design principles that have been formulated previously. The findings from the design analysis carried out are the need for expansion in certain spaces with a number of percentage increases that adjust to the characteristics of the space. Another result obtained is the need for mix programming in hotel facilities, namely combining hotel operational systems with agricultural activities and commercial activities through the provision of various facilities and supporting activities. This can ultimately result in the design of a post-pandemic resort hotel that is able to run operations independently and become a tough/resilient hotel in the midst of pandemic conditions and conditions of low guest visits.
