Description
Summary:With the government legalising the new curriculum, the academic qualifications of teachers are rising to accommodate the curriculum requirement. Thus, the requirement gap becomes an opportunity that PT Riset Pendidikan Australia Indonesia is willing to tackle in their new teacher training products. The study develops scenario planning to find four plausible scenarios, consider the current training industry using PESTEL, Porter's Five Forces Models, SWOT, and TOWS Matrix analysis, and interview relevant stakeholders. The scenario planning will describe the key focal issue, driving forces, scenario framework, scenarios and narratives, implications and options, and early warning signals. The study will use a quality approach with samples taken from interviews with industry stakeholders. The scenario will be the tool to portray strategies for the next three years. Firstly, the key focal issue that will be the focus of the scenario is "What is the company's strategy to market its teacher training in classroom-based assessment products to cover its operation cost in the next three years?". Next, the forces that potentially drive the business around the issue ranked, and the two most prominent are Competition and Government Policy. Finally, a deeper examination will build a scenario using a two-by-two matrix that contrasts the two forces in two axes. The four scenarios are Prominent Champion (solid competitive position with pro-government policy), Superstar Rebel (stable competitive position with contra government policy), and Routine Entertainer (weak competitive position with pro-government policy), and Niche Nerd (weak competitive position with contra government policy). The narratives and early warning signals are given to each scenario to understand each probable future better. After the scenario planning, five strategic imperatives that the company can fit strategy and cover all scenario implications: training modules quality, operational plan, trainer selection, marketing plan, and funding and capital. From this information, this study develops an implementation plan for each scenario.
