Description
Summary:Black Tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus Bleeker, is an aquaculture product with stable economic value. The biggest problem in tilapia cultivation is expensive feed because the fish meal price is high. Therefore, an alternative feed material is needed to decrease feed cost, among them using black soldier fly larvae (Hermetia illucens L.) (Diptera: Stratiomyidae). The aim this research is to study the best Ikan nila hitam growth performance fed with combination feed of BSF larvae meal and fish meal. The research was done at Bukit Sandy, Kabupaten Bandung and ITB Jatinangor Campus with treatment A (100% fish meal), treatment B (75% fish meal, 25% BSF larvae meal), and treatment C (50% fish meal, 50% BSF larvae meal). Weight, legth, death, water pH, and water temperatur observation is done 2 times a week. Weight gain (W), specific growth rate (SGR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), feed efficiency (FE), and survival rate (SR) was analyzed. The result of this reseach shown that treatment C (50% fish meal, 50% BSF larvae meal) have the best growth performance based on weight gain (24,1 gr), specific growth rate (1.47%), feed efficiency (77,31%), and feed conversion ratio (1,29). From this research it is concluded that BSF larvae meal can replace 50% part of fish meal as the alternative fish feed material.
