Summary: | The city of Yogyakarta has historical values and urban cultural landscapes that can be seen from the forms and patterns that have technical and philosophical meanings, both in terms of buildings, plants, and cultural traditions. This makes the city of Yogyakarta one of the cultural tourism destinations and is planned to become a leading cultural center in Southeast Asia in 2025. One of the areas that has strong cultural values in this city is the Sultanate of Yogyakarta Palace which has an area that is limited by a fort. (Baluwarti) or also called Jeron Benteng. In terms of spatial function, this area was originally intended as a residence for palace relatives as well as someone who served in the palace (abdi dalem) and royal relatives of the Yogyakarta Palace. Jeron Benteng has a long historical timeline, which makes the area has the potential to become a tangible (material) and intangible (non- material) heritage object that is not yet widely known by tourists. The development of increasingly dense settlements, lack of information, and the absence of facilities regarding objects are one of the causes of this potential being difficult to identify, and closed by better known heritage tourism. To increase tourist attraction to potential objects in the Jeron Benteng heritage area, a design related to the heritage tourism route program and corridor design on this tourist route is needed to form an accessibility and connection to heritage objects which also adds value to the image of the area as well as cultural tourism and tourism. history in the area. |
