Space, man, and activity are elements of a process that construct identity and place on development. Development with local identity placed in Neighborhood of Pondok Pesantren (Boarding School) Al-Ittifaq as known as excellent agribusiness community in Ciburial Village. This research focuses on the process of identity and places formation in the Al-Ittifaq District with actor-network theory, so both phenomena can be understood as a contested association between actors which can be shifted or conflicted. Using a qualitative method and ANT framework, this research purpose is to identify the identity of Al-Ittifaq District from a different perspective, the role of society to define place identity, and the conceptual relationship between identity formation and place transformation in Al-Ittifaq District. This research concludes that there was community formation from identity construction along with elaborations of KH Fuad Affandi’s teachings as founding father of Al-Ittifaq and place transformation as a community development process. On the other hand, there is an identity crisis and conflict on place utilization because of teaching’s value inconsistency after KH Fuad leaving, from cooperation and usefulness towards the family business.
