Summary:The Development of construction in Indonesia is currently running very rapidly, along with the increasing need for infrastructure to support various activities of the entire community. The construction service business has an essential role in the growth of Indonesia's economic development sector. One company in this field is PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI). However, the firm run by the Company until now still relies on the construction of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) project, which was obtained through a direct appointment mechanism by PT Hutama Karya (Persero) as the parent company. The Government has targeted the JTTS concession assignment to be completed in 2024. Based on the above conditions, the Company must immediately develop an alternative business strategy after the Trans Sumatra Toll Road activity, considering the intense competition in the business industry. This study aims to develop an appropriate alternative plan for PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur. The analysis used in preparing the alternative strategy is based on observations of external and internal factors of the Company. The approaches used in analyzing the Company's external factors include PESTLE analysis, market analysis, consumer analysis, and competitor analysis. The purpose of this analysis is to construct the EFE matrix. At the same time, the approach used in analyzing the Company's internal factors is analyzing the current marketing strategy and VRIO analysis. The purpose of this analysis is to construct the IFE matrix. The EFE Matrix and IFE Matrix are used to analyze the Company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. At the same time, the TOWS analysis defines several alternative strategies based on the EFE and IFE. All alternative methods are then calculated using the IE Matrix and QSPM. The results show that the strategy of focusing on the JTTS external market in the development sector of water resource utilization and road and bridge construction is a relevant strategy applied by the Company to face competition in the future.
