The retaining wall serves to maintain the safety of the 11,5-meters-deep excavation process for the basement of the stadium. The analysis for the design of retaining walls is carried out with the help of PLAXIS 2D with staged construction modeling. The chosen type of retaining structure is secant pile wall with outer and inner sides that have different dimensions. The outer secant pile has primary and secondary pile diameters of 1 meter and 1.2 meters with a total height of 30 meters, while the inner side has primary and secondary pile diameters of 0.8 meters and 1 meter with a total height of 22 meters. Lateral reinforcements are used, consisting of ground anchors at an elevation of -2 meters and struts at an elevation of -6 meters. The foundation systems used consist of two types of foundation—bored piles with 1,2 meters diameter which are tied into pile groups using pile caps and raft-pile foundation which is a combination of a raft foundation and bored piles with 1.5 meters diameter. The foundation design process is carried out with the help of LPILE software for single pile bearing capacity analysis and GROUP software for pile group analysis. Six types of pile group configurations are used for the office section at an elevation of 0 meters and eight types of raft-pile configurations for the stadium section at an elevation of -11 meters. The settlement analysis for all foundation configurations is done using PLAXIS 3D. text |
