Transportation engineering design of Jurangmangu Station area is conducted to assess the feasibility of the given architectural plan while ensuring the reliability of infrastructures within the area in supporting the station’s activity from mobility standpoint, both vehicular and people mobility. The above matter is achieved through evaluations and designs that include: trip demand forecast, station building’s area criteria evaluation, station’s platform design, station’s parking building design, station’s pedestrian facility design, station’s public transportation stop design, station building’s pedestrian level of service evaluation, station’s access road evaluation & design, station’s signalized intersection evaluation & design, as well as wayfinding and traffic sign & marking design. The evaluation and design processes are carried out by using the architectural plan as initial reference in which its compliance to transportation engineering’s design criteria would then be reviewed using relevant actual data. Based on the analysis that has been conducted, there are several design aspects of the architectural plan that are not aligned with the transportation engineering’s design criteria, thus adjustment to the plan is provided in the form of revision to the existing plan along with addition of new designs.
