DYNAMIC OF HORMONES ON THE ENDOCRINE SYSTEM STRESS RESPONSE AND THE EFFECT ON SOMEBODY’S DYNAMIC OF HAPPINESS

Humans are biological creatures whose bodies are composed of various organ systems that are mutually organized. Stress is a natural phenomenon that must be experienced by every human being. The thing that can cause stress is called a stressor. There are various types of stressors. In this Final Proj...

Stress is a natural phenomenon that must be experienced by every human being. The thing that can cause stress is called a stressor. There are various types of stressors. In this Final Project, the stressor is described by the parameter ????????. The human body responds to stress through the endocrine system. The endocrine system responds to stress by releasing several hormones that are interdependent, including CRH, ACTH, and cortisol. At the end of the stress response process, cortisol will give negative feedback to control the release of hormones. In the mathematical model, the negative feedback response of cortisol is described by a term that adapts the Michaelis-Menten Equation. Hormone dynamics on the stress response are analyzed and simulated based on a mathematical differential equations model. Variations in the initial state of each hormone become a differentiating factor in reviewing the dynamic of the hormone. In addition, the effect of the reaction that occurs when cortisol gives negative feedback is also analyzed. Feeling happy is another human natural phenomenon. Furthermore, the dynamic of hormones in stress response is reviewed for the influence on the dynamic of happiness. The happiness dynamic model used is adapted from the spring system model. In the happiness dynamic model, several external factors that can influence the dynamic are varied. The research method in this final project focuses on mathematical modeling which is interpreted qualitatively and descriptively. This final project applies the factorial design method in which the parameters and factors are varied. In addition, some data and facts are also obtained from several literature sources. text
