Summary: | The tourism industry has a significant positive impact on the economy. According to the 2019
Ministry of Tourist performance report, the tourism industry's contribution to Indonesia's
National Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reached 5.5 percent in 2019. According to statistics,
Indonesia's overall foreign exchange profits from this sector totaled Rp 280 trillion. This
demonstrates Indonesia's tourism industry's enormous potential. Based on the consumer problem
and market opportunity, Travy is a start-up in the tourism industry based in Indonesia. Travy has
a vision to help Indonesia's tourism sector to carry out its digital transformation. Travy created a
trip planner application called Travy as a concrete action in realizing the above vision. The
purpose of this research is to find out what features are most needed by customer. So Travy can
focus development on these features to be more efficient and effective. Then the development of
other features will be carried out after the Travy application has a stronger foundation and more
mature finances. After this research was conducted, the author concluded that the features needed
by prospective users in sequence are the travel planner feature, the recommendation preference
feature, the destination information feature, and the last is the accommodation booking feature.
Therefore the author recommends doing several solutions are focus on maximizing the
development of the travel planner feature first before other features, developing the preferenced
recommendation feature after the travel planner feature, developing the destination information
feature after the preferenced recommendation feature, developing the accommodation booking
feature after the destination information feature, build relationships with the traveling
community, join the start-up tourism incubator, and evaluate product-market fit regularly.
