This company carries out coal mining activities using the open pit mining method so that it will create benches on the slopes of the mine. PT XYZ has stability problems on lowwall slopes caused by the presence of weak planes. These weak planes can cause non-circular landslides on the mine slopes. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the stability of the lowwall slope of PT XYZ by considering the presence of weak planes to determine a safe single slope geometry. The analysis was carried out on a single slope model with static conditions and the value of the groundwater table coefficient (Hu) was 0.8. In addition, the slope height was varied with an interval of 10 meters to determine various stable single slope geometry. Stability analysis was carried out using the Janbu limit equilibrium method. Based on the results of data processing obtained for the height of the slopes made (m) 10; 20; 30; 40; 50, the required minimum flat distance of the weak plane to the face of the slope is successively (m) 4; 16; 32; 50; 63 to achieve a safety factor of 1.1. To achieve a safety factor of 1.3, a minimum flat distance of the weak plane to the face of the slope is required (m) 8; 22; 42; 58; 76. text
