There is competition between traditional and modern markets in terms of quantity growth. The transition from choosing a modern market to a traditional market can be due to several factors, one of them is slums of traditional market which give the impression of being uncomfortable for consumers, such as Pasar Gedebage. Based on the direction of the Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Daerah (RPJMD) Tahun 2018-2023, there are plans to develop traditional market facilities, one of it is Pasar gedebage as one of the main markets in Bandung. This can be maximizing the function of the area by redesigning Pasar gedebage with fragmental method. Fragmental method used to achieve the objectives of the Pasar Gedebage with primary and secondary data processing to make normatives design principles as an output. The design principle is obtained with 8 criteria, namely comfort, safety, health, accessibility, inclusiveness, affordability, orderliness, and cleanliness. This can be elaborated with designs elements such as building mass planning, land use, circulation and parking, supporting activities, pedestrian paths, open spaces, signage, and preservation. The normative design principle becomes the output of the elaborate of the criteria and design element by considering the problems and potentials contained in Pasar Gedebage. text |
