Description
Summary:The failure of high-voltage equipment is often triggered by a failure originating in the insulation system itself. Although the age of the equipment is a factor that causes aging in the insulation system of high-voltage equipment, there are various factors that can affect the quality of the insulation system of the equipment. A rejuvenation program also needs to be carried out to ensure that high voltage equipment is always in a safe condition to work for a certain time. Unfortunately, this rejuvenation program is usually carried out on a schedule basis, not based on the condition of the equipment. We need a tool that can diagnose the condition of high voltage equipment continuously in order to formulate a rejuvenation program with the concept of condition-based maintenance (CBM). The partial discharge method is the proposed method because it can be done online and is non-destructive. Although online partial discharge measurement is not a new thing in the field of diagnosis of high voltage equipment, the absence of a party capable of producing domestically is the main background in the preparation of this thesis. An online partial discharge monitoring prototype has been successfully created with hardware and software developers commonly used by prototyping enthusiasts. Output comparisons are also carried out using conventional methods so that the reliability of the online monitoring method can be determined.
