Description
Summary:The O&M (Operation and Maintenance) process for power plants and microgrids in the 3T (Lagging, Frontier, Outermost) region is still being carried out manually and locally. The difficult terrain, undeveloped infrastructure, and low demand have caused the operation and maintenance of power plants at 3T to be carried out manually and locally. This can have an impact on increasing the duration of operating downtime and also the rapid degradation of generating components. The reliability of the generating system itself depends on the resistance of the system to changes in variables in the field. One of the main indicators of its measurement is downtime. In the 3T area, downtime in the power generation system can take 2- 3 days, even up to 2 weeks. Therefore, a product design will be developed to mitigate this problem. The final project team created a system that was able to increase the maintenance capability of microgrid generators and reduce the need for operators to visit the site directly. The object of research used by the author as a microgrid scheme is in the energy management research lab of Engineering Physics ITB. The author chose this because the system in the ME lab already resembles the real condition of the 3T area generator or areas where there are off-grid generators.
