Mount Tilu is designated as a Nature Reserve because it is a primary tropical rainforest that stores important, endemic and endangered biodiversity. Forms of anthropogical disturbance that occur such as forest encroachment for coffee plantations, chilies, and vegetable farming. The purpose of this study is to determine the rate and proportion of encroachment in the Mount Tilu Nature Reserve area over the past 10 years and build projections of encroachment in the next 10 years. Bing, SPOT 7, and SENTINEL 2A image classifications were carried out with supervised classification method, which was then strengthened by personal ground check data and BBKSDA ground check data. From the research that has been carried out, it was found that the rate of encroachment has continued to increase over the past 10 years, namely from 10,353 Ha/Year to 23,203 Ha/Year. The border area between Sukaluyu Village and Mount Tilu Nature Reserve is the area with the highest proportion of encroachment of 15.8%, while the border area between Lamajang Village and Mount Tilu Nature Reserve is the area with the lowest proportion of encroachment of 0.8%. The projected encroachment in 2032 shows the potential for an increase in encroachment in Mount Tilu Nature Reserve by 53%, with coffee as the main crop commodity because it has the highest economic value. text
