Summary: | Road damage is something that will definitely happen and can't be avoided. However, most roads in Indonesia experience structural damage faster than their service life despite road maintenance. So to maintain road conditions in accordance with the plan and keep costs under control, proper road maintenance is needed.
In this study, predictions of the functional condition of the road during the design life of 10 years using the MEPDG method as the basis for the preparation of road maintenance programs and developing several scenarios of road maintenance programs that refer to the interval of road improvement work stages. In the predictive analysis of pavement performance using the MEPDG method, it is influenced by several types of damage such as rut dept and load related cracking (alligator and longitudinal cracking) which will produce road functional condition output with IRI output. The condition of pavement damage from the results of the study showed that the average rut depth at the end of the design life was 2,932 mm, the average alligator cracking was 21.12% and longitudinal cracking was 12.30%. Based on the predicted output of the IRI value obtained, the road maintenance program was developed into 4 scenarios with differences in the intervals of road improvement work stages, where the minimum road maintenance value was obtained in scenario 2 (all road improvements were carried out at the beginning of the plan year) with an accumulated road maintenance cost present value, which is Rp. 90.398.840.707,00-. This scenario requires large maintenance costs at the beginning of the planning year, but be able to provide the smallest accumulated costs compared to other scenarios.
