Summary: | The Grid Apartment in Gedebage, Bandung City, is a building consisting of 3
towers connected by a 1-floor basement. This final project aims to design a
foundation that can support the load of the superstructure of the building and wall
to retain the soil to be stable around the construction area. The foundation and
retaining wall design is based on SNI 8460:2017 and SNI 1726:2019 about
Geotechnical Design Requirements for Earthquake Resistance. The designed
retaining wall is of type a secant pile. The staged-construction model and analysis
of the secant-pile have been conducted with the case of the PLAXIS2D computer
program to determine the deflection and safety factors in undrained and drained
conditions. Dewatering is designed for the excavation to lower the groundwater
level to the designed depth through seepage analysis and rainwater. The pilegroup
foundation is designed as a driven pile foundation with a pile cap
connected by tie beams. The foundation is designed to satisfy axial capacity,
lateral capacity, and pile deformation limits for service load conditions, nominal
earthquakes load conditions, and strong earthquakes load conditions. The
foundation model uses LPILE and GROUP applications to determine the lateral
capacity of the pile. The foundation settlement is modeled with the SETTLE3D
software application and checked against applicable requirements.
