The digital era in the present as well as the occurrence of the covid-19 pandemic require everyone to use handphonesto stay connected to one another. The high development of electronic devices shown by the production of new models at affordable prices is in sync with the increase of electronic waste. However, until now there are no technical provisions and adequate systems in the management of electronic waste in Banda Aceh City. Electronic waste components from gadgets can still be valuable economically if they are recycled. Therefore, this research was conducted to estimate the potential generation of electronic waste from devices in Banda Aceh City. In this study, primary data was taken through a questionnaire twice. Preliminary questionnaires were used to determine the scope of the 3 mostly owned types of gadgets by the residents of Banda Aceh City and the results are mobile phones, earphones, and chargers–selected as the research objects. The main/advanced questionnaires were distributed to determine the potential generation of electronic waste, consumer behavior, material flow analysis, and willingness to participate from 423 respondents which was calculated based on the Yamane formula using the proportional random sampling method. Potential generation of electronic waste from gadgets is calculated using the delay model method and the potential generation of electronic waste from devices in Banda Aceh City is estimated to reach 17.32 tons in 2022 and 62.14 tons in 2050. Consumer treatment was identified by cross tabulation, the general behavior of consumers is to save unused handphones. As for gadget accessories such as earphones and chargers, the higher treatment done by the consumers is to discard them. From the amount of electronic waste generated by devices, the flow of material for electronic waste from devices that is wasted into the environment is 36.66% accumulated from consumers and service providers. Considering the waste generation and high level of hazards from electronics for health and the environment, a suggestion is made by proposing the development of an integrated electronic waste by involving the willingness to participate from the residents. This includes collecting, storing, transporting, and enhancing integrated education related to appropriate electronic waste management in Banda Aceh City. text |

The presence of electronics, especially gadgets, continues to increase every year along with
the rapid development of technology. The digital era in the present as well as the
occurrence of the covid-19 pandemic require everyone to use handphonesto stay connected
to one another. The high development of electronic devices shown by the production of new
