INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/68135 In the era of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), Indonesia has a challenge to prepare qualified human resources and new jobs. Yogyakarta is an area that has great creative industry potentials which is one alternative to overcome these challenges. Yogyakarta’s creative industry is important to develop because it’s projected to be a new source of economic growth and how limited natural resources make Yogyakarta unable to rely on extractive industries. However, in developing the industry, there are still some obstacles, such as the low quality of the creative community, capital problems, lack of trade insight to compete in the open market, and low appreciation of creative players. In order to answer these problems, a place in the form of a creative hub is needed to connect and train these creative industry players. This project aims to build facilities that can encourage passion and creativity through a comfortable and competitive environment so that it can encourage a conducive Yogyakarta creative industry ecosystem and facilitate collaboration between creative industry players. This project will have three main functions, namely the collaboration function, innovation and training function, as well as exhibition and commercial function with a contemporary style approach to show its creative function, sense of community approach to strengthen collaboration, and biophilic design to create a stress-free environment. This project also hopes to improve the quality of skills, insights, and marketing of existing human resources, create new jobs and capital, and become Yogyakarta’s landmark as a creative, cultured, and educated city. text
