PROPOSED SOLUTIONS AS BUSINESS STRATEGY IMPROVEMENT TO MANAGE RISKS RELATED TO LIABILITY (STUDY CASE ON PT. IMAGO PRIMADIMENSI MANDIRI)

PT IMAGO PRIMADIMENSI MANDIRI is a pest control company. As is known, since the increasing intensity of public awareness in response to increased disease outbreaks, technological advances in insecticide formulation, and the increase in commercial and residential projects, as well as pest intolerance, many companies are active in producing and marketing insecticide and pesticide products. The Advisory Board of the Association of Indonesian Pest Control Companies (ASPPHAMI) revealed that the annual turnover of the pest control industry is currently around Rp. 2 trillion. However, the challenge of PT. IMAGO PRIMADIMENSI MANDIRI in facing business competition in this field is quite tight, especially in applying the principle of good cooperation with its partners. This research focuses on three problems, firstly revealing the challenges companies face in implementing their liabilities, and second, how the company can formulate the right solution to its liabilities and limitations. And third, how is the implementation plan a strategy refinement to manage commercial and operational risks that may occur as part of corporate strategy. This study uses a qualitative approach as its methodology. Data will be collected through book and journal reviews, market analysis, related regulations, media reports, and in-depth interviews with experts. Meanwhile, the data analysis used data manipulation (interactionist analysis). The results of this study indicate that based on external and internal analysis using Porter's Five Forces Strategy, PESTLE, and SWOT, the authors analyze the pest control industry in general and relate it to PT. IMAGO PRIMADIMENSI MANDIRI. The result is that the legal factor regarding the non-availability of liabilities and their limiting clauses in the existing cooperation agreements becomes essential. Based on the cases that arise, the weakness of this corporate cooperation agreement can be identified as a threat because it poses risks, one of which is the lack of communication with the company's partners. One of the suggested mitigations is to propose a detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that emphasizes customer acknowledgment. Based on the analysis of previous problems and from external and internal sources, as well as the formulation based on corporate strategy to become commercial and operational risk mitigation plans, a proposed implementation plan will be provided for the new customer going forward in 2023. For existing customers, re-negotiation on the existing agreement will be started when the renewal date is approaching, and a timeline of mitigation plans that will be worked on for 4 (four) months.
