In current developments, Indonesians are increasingly focusing on digital wallets to fulfill and execute their everyday needs. In the period of industrial revolution 4.0, one of the activities in the payment system is the use of digital wallets. Due to the need to maintain a safe distance from one another in the pandemic era, digital wallet applications have emerged. With this, all consumers in Indonesia must adapt to the usage of digital wallets in all age groups. The purpose of this study is to examine and identify the benefits of digital wallets for users and the security that digital wallet users experience in everyday life in Indonesia. The survey method was employed in the research. This study employs a quantitative approach, with data collected through a questionnaire from respondents and analyzed in terms of benefits and security from the perspective of electronic wallet users. To achieve the objectives of this study, each variable has 5 indicators. Firstly, the benefit variable includes statements including that the digital wallet display is readable, the functions in the digital wallet application are easy to understand for all users, facilitate the payment process both offline and online, and the transaction process can be completed fast. Secondly, the security variable contains statements such as transparency of digital wallet data, the security of transactions, the usability of each wallet's features, may be trusted to carry without bringing a lot of cash and the capability of the system to protect user data. Users in Indonesia who use digital wallet applications are the focus of this study. The findings of the survey indicate that (1) Users utilize digital wallets because of the benefits they offer, one of which is an easy-to-use online payment method, which got the highest percentage of 92%. The average benefit variable is 86.59% by categorizing "very high". Digital wallets that are easy to read, functions that are easy to understand, and online payments that are easy to process all receive very high, with respective percentages of 88.24%, 88.47%, and 92%. (2) The security of digital wallet services for users is categorized as safe, one of which is security in the features found in the digital wallet with the highest percentage of 85.88%. The average security variable is 78.18% by categorizing "high". This research provides the following recommendations for future researchers and users of digital wallets based on the findings of the analysis and conclusions in the discussion chapter. (1) The first point of recommendation for future researchers is to improve data access by making surveys more precise in identifying respondents' attributes in order to provide more accurate analysis. The second recommendation is to determine the sample size, or in other words, future researchers should collect data from more than 200 respondents in order to obtain more information and reduce ambiguity. The third recommendation is to include more diverse variables to questionnaire designs so that future researchers may collect data from different respondents and develop more detailed conclusions about the financial sector. (2) The recommendation for digital wallet users is that it is essential to research and learn the benefits, features and capabilities offered by each digital wallet application before using it. text
