Political cartoon is a symbolic-representative visual work which contains derisions with politic events as its theme. The politic events that commonly used as theme in a political cartoon, to be mentioned several, are the action as well as the policy taken by the government in solving the states problems, the figures related to a political issue and the peoples attitude toward the political verve it self. One of the long time cartoonist in this political cartoon field is Pramono R. Pramoedjo. The aim of this research is to assess the meaning revealed behind the configuration of visual objects in Pramonos works, with a consideration for the socio-politic condition and the visual configuration tendency transpired on the works. The works reviewed in this research are those created in1980-1986 and published in Sindar Harapan Daily. <br />
