Summary: | JakLingko Indonesia which already works in integrating public transportation in Jabodetabek and provided integration of public transportation in the Jakarta area also its tariff would expand the business to complete the first mile and last mile of public transportation. Since most of the workers in the Jakarta area live in the sub-urban area of Jakarta, the number of commute people is considered as high. Based on Central Bureau Survey (2019), the number of commuting people in DKI Jakarta is 1,253,771 people. Also, the sub-urban area of Jakarta has not been covered yet by integrating public transportation and it could be a potential business in integrating public transportation. Moreover, the distance from the residents in the suburban area of Jakarta is far from the public transportation station. The behavior of people is tended to use private cars on a daily basis. With the integration of public transportation that covers a suburban area of Jakarta, the people will shift from private cars to privet public transport like shuttle buses since it gives efficiency in time and cost.
The research objective is aimed to determine the potential location to integrate shuttle buses as public transportation in a suburban area. JakLingko Indonesia has several considerations to select the location to expand the business, especially integrating public transport. The author used AHP calculation based on Microsoft Excel developed by Klaus D Geopel from bpmsg.com. The tools helped to know and determine the prioritization in the decision-making process. All the data was obtained by using qualitative and quantitative data. The data gather from brainstorming, interview, and literature review, then a questionnaire to get the preferences of the stakeholder to develop the hierarchy of the AHP tree. In the process of decision of the place, several criteria and sub-criteria have been developed between authors and the stakeholders. The main criteria that have most considered by JakLingko Indonesia are socio-demographic, financial, demand pattern, and distance. Also, the sub-criteria is obtained between the author and the stakeholders. The sub-criteria are age, population, income, profit sharing, investment cost, activities, vehicle ownership, origin to destination, origin to the closest station, and commuting expenses.
From the calculation results, Depok (0,3) is the first priority place to integrate shuttle buses as a public transportation in suburban areas. Followed by Bekasi City (0,271), Bogor Regency (0,213), and Tangerang Regency (0,167). The criteria which are highly considered by the stakeholder are the Demand Pattern (42,5%), Financial (28,10%), Distance (19,2%), and Socio demographic (10,10%). After getting the location prioritization, the next step is to survey the location and the availability of shuttle bus routes. Following the step before, the next stage is meeting with the stakeholders and integrating the system from both parties. To conduct decision analysis and determine the prioritization AHP tool is highly recommended since they support the decision-making process and give accurate results. |
