THE INTENTION OF E-WALLET UTILIZATION IN COLLEGE STUDENTS (CASE STUDY: BANDUNG INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY)

The inevitable revolution of technology has always occurred in order to help society live a better life. One of the most technology that has been through a rapid growth and impacted the technology industry is the Financial Technology adaptation, especially the utilization of E-Wallet. There are many factors that drive people to use E-Wallet in today????s society. This study emphasizes in determining the reasons behind people????s intention (College Students) in using E-Wallet during their daily life. Variables are narrowed down to: Security, Image, Perceived Enjoyment, and Trust as the Independent Variables, and Perceived of Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Attitude towards Behaviour, and Behaviour Intention to Use as the Dependent Variables, which derived from the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) framework. The E-Wallet brand that this study will be focusing is Gopay and OVO. This research will be conducted using the quantitative approach. Using an online survey, this research will also be delivered using a descriptive statistics with PLS-SEM as the method to analyse the data. The result shows that Image, Trust, Security, and Perceived Enjoyment has a positive impact towards the utilization of E-Wallet, which can be considered as the factors that arise the intention of using E-Wallet among college students, especially in Bandung Institute of Technology.
