ANALYSIS OF LAND SUITABILITY FOR WOOD GROWTH GAMAL (GLIRICIDIA SEPIUM) AS ENERGY WOOD IN PERUM PERHUTANI KPH PURWAKARTA, WEST JAVA
Green energy is currently very necessary in reducing the use of coal for steam power plants (PLTU). By 2025 as much as 23% of Indonesia's energy mix must come from New and Renewable Energy (NRE) Sources. The Purwakarta Forest Management Unit launched a special production forest area for energy...

By 2025 as much as 23% of Indonesia's energy mix must come from New and Renewable Energy (NRE) Sources. The Purwakarta Forest Management Unit launched a special production forest area for energy wood crops from 2019 at BKPH Cipeundeuy, with a Gamal biomass planting area (Gliricida sepium) of 246.44 Ha. Gamal as one of the sources of biomass energy development that has the advantage of NRE with a calorific value of 4.9 Kcal / 4,900 calories, however, there are differences in Gamal growth in plot 70C-2 (good Gamal growth) and plot 69e-1 (Gamal growth is not good) in RPH Ciloji, BKPH Cipeundeuy, so it is necessary to test the physical and chemical properties of the soil, as well as land suitability analysis that can produce evaluations on the land. The result land suitability analysis on plot 70C-2 has an actual land class with S2wr criteria (quite appropriate) with annual rainfall, moisture, and coarse material being the inhibiting factors. Meanwhile, plots 69e-1 have an actual land class of S2wfr (quite appropriate) with factors inhibiting annual rainfall, humidity, alkaline saturation KTK, and effective depth. S3r (almost appropriate) with inhibiting factors namely drainage, texture, and rough material. text |
