Description
Summary:Ciujung River has an area of approximately 1,850 km2, with a river length of 142 km flowing from south to north. The Ciujung River empties into the Java Sea in Serang Regency. The Ciujung River is often flooded and inundated several villages, even the overflow of the Ciujung River has paralyzed the Jakarta-Merak toll road. The overflowing of the Ciujung River is caused by the condition of the Ciujung River which is relatively small and has a meandering river morphology. When the rainfall is high, the river cannot accommodate and eventually overflows, causing the area around the river to flood. Floods due to overflowing the Ciujung River certainly cause losses to various parties, both physical, material, agricultural and industrial. This shows the need for technical solutions for handling flood disasters in the Ciujung River. In this final project, planning for alternative flood control of the Ciujung River is carried out including embankments, normalization and retention ponds. The method used starts from hydrological analysis, then continues with hydraulic analysis using HEC-RAS-1D software. The hydraulic simulations carried out include simulations of the existing cross section as well as simulations of embankments, normalization and retention ponds. The combination of embankments, normalization and retention ponds is expected to be a solution to the flood problem in the Ciujung River.
