Summary: | The development and utilization of Renewable Energy (RE) continue to be pushed in terms of meeting the demand for electricity supply and reduce the use of Oil Fuel. Based on RUPTL 2021-2030 document, the target is to achieve 23% proportion of renewable energy mix in 2025. Through the RUPTL 2021 - 2030, it is stated that to achieve the target of the composition of the energy mix in Indonesia, intermittent renewable energy power plant such as solar PV and wind farm, new and renewable energy must be utilized. As of 1st semester 2020, the total operating NRE power plant is 7,982 MW or 12.7% of the total generating capacity of 62,832 MW. At this condition, The NRE power plants requires the urge to accelerating the development to meet the target. Through this research, it aims to provide the strategic implementation to adds-up new potential renewable energy projects by making a framework of desk study in developing several types of renewable energy such as Solar PV, Wind Farm, Hydropower, and Biomass energy using factors such as demand aspect, site-specific renewable energy potential, and land capability for development assessment, it can select the optimum and feasible potential location that will propose a best concept for renewable energy development at several locations. The methodology being used upon the research is throughout knowledge transferring, the know-how process is collected through literature review and interviews with the engineer with their best-practice and its expert judgement to obtain potential projects location. The result of this research is a framework of step-by-step process to map several potential locations in Indonesia to be developed renewable energy power plant so that the user of this research can initially assess their planned locations whether its potential for renewable energy development or not. This also equipped with paperwork template and spreadsheet to calculate how big is renewable energy potential in a location. |
