Summary: | The public library in Kelapa Gading is designed as a public space where people can interact and enhance local life quality. Besides functioning as a library, this place has culinary centre and cafe to offer recreational amenities and attract public interest. The public library is a four-story, two-basement cast-in-place reinforced concrete structure. Classified on risk category IV and seismic design category (SDC) D, this building is designed with dual seismic force resisting system with special moment resisting frames (SMRF) and special shear walls. The design refers to Indonesia national design standards, such as SNI 1726:2019 for modelling and analysis of earthquake-resistant structures, SNI 2847:2019 for designing details of reinforced concrete elements, and SNI 1727:2020 for the load values used, as well as international standards, such as ASCE. 7-16 and ACI 318M-14. The structural elements designed include slabs, beams, columns, and shear walls.
