Description
Summary:Bandung Regency is morphologically in the form of a basin and is crossed by the Upper Citarum River. This area is also known as the Bandung Basin. The condition of the basin area has a high potential for flooding because the part with the lowest elevation of the basin will cause water to collect and cause flooding. One of them is at the study location, namely in catchment area Cipalasari. The flooding that occurred in catchment area Cipalasari caused by backwater from the Citarum River. Back water caused the Cipalasari River to overflow and inundate catchment area of Cipalasari. Therefore, this final project will discuss the planning of a flood reduction system using the polder concept. The methods used include hydraulic analysis using HEC-RAS to determine flood height and simulation modeling of flood mitigation plans. The polder system will be designed to be able to overcome the planned flood discharge with a return period of 25 years for the Citarum River and a return period of 10 years for the Cipalasari River. Based on this, the required sluice gate is 4.3 meters high and 1.7 meters wide. And the required pump capacity is 3 x 1 m3/s.
