Description
Summary:Sragi District, South Lampung Regency has the potential for vaname shrimp pond aquaculture with an area of more than 1200 ha. The production of this pond cultivation is not optimal and tends to decrease every year, one of the causes is flooding. The flooding that occurred was caused by sedimentation in the Way Sekampung’s river so that the capacity of the river was unable to drain flood discharge. The purpose of this study is to plan an embankment in the Sekampung River downstream to prevent flooding in the pond area of Sragi District. The hydrological analysis of the Sekampung watershed resulted in a planned flood discharge of a 10-year re-period having a peak of 971.1 m3/s and was influenced by tides with an MHWL of 1,623 m. HEC-RAS modeling showed that the maximum capacity of the river was 200 m3/s and the maximum flood runoff was as high as 3.13 m of the LOB. The type of embankment plan is a soil urugan with a length of 10.8 km and varying dimensions adjusting to the height of the flood. The stability of the embankment shows a safe number with SF = 3,882 in dry conditions, SF = 7,031 in FWL conditions, as well as resistance to seepage.
