Description
Summary:The utilizations and needs for energy, especially oil and gas, cannot be abandoned. The increasing demand for oil and gas is also accompanied by its distribution, especially in the offshore sector. One of the distribution systems for oil and gas is the subsea pipeline as a substitute for tankers as a more efficient material carrier. The structure of the subsea pipeline needs to be maintained in order to avoid the dangers or risks that can interfere with the performance of the subsea pipeline, especially the occurrence of corrosion on the subsea pipeline. For this reason, it is necessary to calculate the cathodic protection analysis in preventing corrosion of the subsea pipeline material by providing a sacrificial anode as a protection material for the subsea pipeline structure. In this Final Project, the design of the subsea pipeline structure is carried out by determining the wall thickness of the subsea pipeline, the stability of the subsea pipeline, installation analysis, and free span analysis. Then, an analysis of cathodic protection with the sacrificial anode method was also carried out on the subsea pipeline structure to prevent corrosion of the pipe material.
