Description
Summary:The increase in commuting activities can cause various problems, one of which is transportation problems, followed by the high cost of living in Jakarta, causing some residents to choose to live on the urban rural of Jakarta (Bodetabek), one of which is South Tangerang City, with the daily movement of commuter workers causing congestion, especially during peak hours, this is the background of the problems in this study. The purpose of this study is to model the extent to which the choice of access mode (feeder) to the station or bus stop for commuters from the city of South Tangerang to the center of DKI Jakarta based on the factors that influence commuter preferences, namely attitudes, perspective and mode availability. Data collection through field surveys consists of socio-economic characteristics, travel characteristics, statements of individual attitudes towards commuting activities, and stated preference experiments. A total of 1560 observations were collected through field surveys. Firstly, the perception variables that influence the choice of mode, namely the attitude, perspective and availability of modes are identified through exploratory factor analysis. Based on the results of the modeling that has been done using the Biogeme application, the model that is considered the best and used in this study is the multinomial logit. As for the factors that influence the choice of travel mode and the attributes of the alternative SP offered as an alternative choice then calculated in the model, there are still significant results that commuters choose private vehicles (motorcycles, cars) as a feeder mode for commuting to the nearest station or bus stop.
