Summary:Pongo abelii is one of the orangutan species whose population is very threatened with extinction. Pongo abelii is an endangered animal found in Sumatra. Although there is no accurate data regarding the population of Pongo abelii from year to year, previous studies have shown that there are many factors that threaten the survival of orangutans, both population and habitat. If left unchecked, the orangutan population is expected to continue to decline and will experience extinction. One of the possible efforts is to expand the orangutan habitat. In this study, the author will carry out a simulation related to the addition of carrying capacity of Pongo abelii consistently. The mathematical model used is a two-dimensional modification of the logistics model by taking into account changes in carrying capacity. The results obtained from this study indicate that the addition of a consistent carrying capacity can save the Pongo abelii population in most areas.
