Summary: | The Idealab Collaborative Network program is an initiative of Idealab.id’s CEO to accommodate Idealab.id as an idea incubation. The Idealab Collaborative Network program is intended to be able to connect general users to interact and discuss about social, health, and environmental issues. The purpose of this discussion is to produce feasible solutions that can answer these problems that have been discussed. Application design for Idealab Collaborative Network includes feature development for conducting discussions, feature development for displaying Idealab.id's project portfolio, as well as Landing Page design for the application.
The workflow design is carried out using a human-centred design approach (ISO 9241-210) as a reference standard and using the Build-Measure-Learn principle developed in The Lean-Startup. The development of the workflow is carried out by considering the relatively small project scope with only three initial requirements from Idealab.id stakeholders and these three requirements are also not detailed. The Build-Measure-Learn principle is applied to the usability evaluation stage which is repeated by building a simple prototype which is then measured according to the evaluation objective. In the second stage of the evaluation, the eye-tracker was used to assist the verbal protocol process by re-recording containing gaze plot information during the execution of the given task. In addition, the data obtained from the eye-tracker is used to corroborate the findings at the evaluation stage. The results of the evaluation are used to build the proposed interface for the Idealab Collaborative Network application.
