The economic activity in the province of Riau and around it really depends on the presence of Port Dumai as one of major port in those areas. This port is one of important facility for the exports and imports in the province of Riau and around it. The Ministry of Transportation of Indonesia assigns this port as one of 25 strategical port in Indonesia. In spirit of always improving the economy of the province of Riau and around it, we are designing a sister port of Dumai that serves as a multipurpose port. The design process started with estimating the demand for passengers and goods in this port on 2044. The estimates of passengers and goods demand is based on the demand equation build upon passengers and goods volume of the current port of Dumai and sosio-economic data of the province of Riau. Then, we design various facilities as a means to facilitate the moving of passengers and goods of this new port. These facilities is as follows, container park area, container freight station, empty container yard, truck buffer area, gate entrance and exit, and road pavement.
