Description
Summary:Kabupaten Cirebon is an area with a high shoreline change vulnerability. Desa Bungko Lor, Kecamatan Kapetakan has a fairly high land use of fishpond and salt pond, and vulnerable to shoreline changes. This study focuses on detecting shoreline changes during 2012 – 2021 using remote sensing data. Combined satellite data from Landsat 7, Landsat 8, dan Sentinel 2 were used to mapping shoreline using the Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS), an ArcMap adds-in tools. Aerial images from drone validated with Sentinel 2 show an R2 value of 0.863 and an RMSE of 4.997. Changes in the shoreline during 2012 – 2016 show sedimentation tendency, while during 2017 – 2021 show abrasion tendency. General trend of 10 years shoreline change in Desa Bungko Lor is abrasion, with average abrasion rate of -2.39 m/year and net shoreline movement towards land with value of -59.99 m. Sediment transport during the west monsoon is greater than east monsoon, reaching rate of 2.49 kg/s during west monsoon and 2.33 kg/s during east monsoon. The direction of sediment transport is towards the south. Waves from the north or northeast dominate the sediment transport direction than waves from southeast. In conclusion, shoreline change in Desa Bungko Lor for ten years show abrasion tendency and the sediment transport direction to the south.
