PERBAIKAN SISTEM KERJA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRODUKTIVITAS PROSES DIGITISASI REKAM MEDIS PADA SILOAM HOSPITALS BOGOR

Siloam Hospitals Bogor (SHBG) is the 29th Siloam hospital network out of 41 Siloam hospital units. One of the efforts to support one of their visions, providing international quality health services in Indonesia, is by digitizing medical records. INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/68804 Siloam Hospitals Bogor (SHBG) is the 29th Siloam hospital network out of 41 Siloam hospital units. One of the efforts to support one of their visions, providing international quality health services in Indonesia, is by digitizing medical records. However, the implementation of digitizing medical records has taken a very long time, which around 17 months with progress that has only reached 50.61%. After further review, this low productivity is caused by a poor working system for digitize medical records. Therefore, this study aims to design a work system improvement to increase the productivity of the SHBG medical record digitization process. Improvements to the work system are carried out by methods engineering using process charts, identification of value-added and non value-added processes as well as waste, and operation analysis, work design using the principles of motion economy, and work measurement using work sampling. First step is mapping the existing workflow using process charts for further analysis. There were 30 wasteful activities out of 38 total activities with 8 wastes being eliminated directly, and 22 other wastes being reduced using tools or other suggestions. From the results of waste analysis, operation analysis, and motion study, a work system design was carried out. To get more efficient working method, trial and error was carried out in the field directly. There were several improvements which were implemented directly. Work Measurement using work sampling is carried out on all proposed improvements that are implemented. The standard time was 2.41 minutes per medical record in shift 1 and 2.58 minutes per medical record in shift 2. All the proposed improvements succeeded in increasing the daily target to 310 from 200 medical records per day. In other words, the productivity of the medical record digitization process increased by 55%. text
