Summary: | Technological developments in the digital era have changed the behavior of transactions between economic actors, marked by an increase in online transactions. This is an opportunity for Small, Micro, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to increase sales and develop their marketing system through e-commerce, namely the activities of transacting goods and services through electronic systems. One of the quality factors that needs to be considered from e-commerce is usability, which affects the success of user transactions. As an effort to assist MSMEs in increasing the usability of e-commerce businesses, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) together with Parahyangan University and Indonesian Ergonomics Association (PEI) carried out a program entitled Preparation of Guidelines and Implementation of User Experience and Usability Evaluation Workshops on Mobile Applications: An Effort to Improve E-commerce MSME Performance. One of the outputs of this program is a guide book for MSME actors to evaluate the usability level of their business e-commerce websites or applications. MSME actors still find it difficult to use guidebooks as a reference for evaluation. This study aims to develop an application prototype to assist MSME actors in carrying out usability evaluations. The application prototype was developed based on the problems experienced by MSME actors when conducting usability evaluations referring to the guide book. The method used is design thinking, which consists of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test stages. The research begins by interviewing eight business actors. The results of the interviews will be used to define the users and the problems experienced by MSME actors in using the guide book. The output of this research is a clickable application prototype. The application prototype has been tested and received feedback from ten target users, where out of the eleven problem points identified, nine points for the problems of MSME actors have been answered and two other problem points have not been sufficiently answered. |
