Description
Summary:The project in this report is consisted of a 4-story sport building with a basement floor. Its roof is made of steel with a U shape covering the entire reinforced concrete structure beneath it. The whole infrastructure is divided into 3 parts which are 2 smaller buildings and a main building that includes only one main court. The construction is done in Gedebage, a location in Bandung with thick-soft soil layers of 30m deep. Because of this, soil improvement method, PVD and Preloading is implemented in the site. The purpose is to quicken the consolidation process while improving the undrained shear strength of the soil. The basement level requires the construction of retaining structures, therefore, flat concrete sheet piles are used. The chosen foundation type is driven spun pile. The design result is retrieved from analysis using known and proven calculations methods and equations with the help of some Geotechnical applications such as PLAXIS 2D, LPILE, and GROUP. PVD used in this project has a width of 100mm with a 30m height while the preloading comes from soil embankment with a 2,8m height. With a total of 83 days of consolidation process, the increased undrained shear strength is 11 KPa in average. The flat reinforced sheet piles have a width of 220mm and a length of 500mm. The type used is FRC 220-B. The height of the sheet piles is 4m for 2,8m excavation and 7m for 4m excavation. The depth of the driven piles is 35m starting from the designated surface elevation. There are 4 types of foundation configurations which are 1x2, 2x2, 2x3, and 3x4. The pile cap is complimented with flexural reinforcements in x-axis and y-axis. There are also reinforcements for pile head treatment. The tie beam is designed with a dimension of 500x500mm with flexural and stirrup reinforcement bars.
