Airplanes have many crucial components including aircraft wheel bolts. The bolt serves as a link between the wheel and the wheel plate. When an airplane takes off and lands, the plane's wheels will experience shocks to support the plane. In the same process, the aircraft wheel bolt will experience stress and strain to hold the aircraft wheel and wheel plate. The stresses that pass through the tensile strength will cause changes in dimensions and hardness of the aircraft wheel bolts. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct further research on aircraft wheel bolts so that the changes that occur do not exceed the capacity of the material. In this research, two types of samples will be taken, namely samples before being used on airplane wheels and samples that have been used on airplane wheels. Based on the two samples, the dimension changes and changes in the hardness of the plane bolts will be measured. Bolts that have been used on aircraft wheels have increased dimensions / deformation values at the depth of thread, root radius and angle of thread points respectively by 1.4%; 2% and 3.4%. Bolts that have been used on aircraft experienced an increase in hardness at points A, B, C by 6.1%; 13%; and 4.3%. There is no significant change in the microstructure. text
