Indonesia Final Project Land Cover Dynamics, Coastline Changes, Accretion, Abrasion, Net Shoreline Movement, End Point Rate INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/69048 Ciletuh Bay is a geotourism area in the form of an earth park with an amphitheater formed by rocks and is flanked by Cimarinjung River and Ciletuh River. Its inauguration as a UNESCO Global Geopark that keeps the development going and together with many irrigated rice fields and other agricultural land is suspected to be a contributor to sedimentation and has implications for changes in coastal ecosystems due to increased land use and human activities. This research aims to determine the dynamics of land cover and coastline changes in the Ciletuh Bay area during the last ten years. The research was conducted in April 2022, located in Ciletuh Bay, West Java with an area of 695.90 ha of study area. This research uses ArcGIS and Digital Shoreline Analysis System programs with SPOT 6, SPOT 7, and Sentinel-2 satellite images. Maximum likelihood method is used to determine land cover classification and DSAS is used to determine the Net Shoreline Movement and End Point Rate on shoreline changes. The results showed that there were eight types of land cover with 46,9% of the area dominated by agricultural land, 21,6% forest, 12,2% plantation, 8,2% grassland, 4,4% settlement area, 3,9% beach sand, 2,1% river, and 0,5% sea. During 2013-2020 settlement area, plantation, and beach sand has an increasing trend, while agricultural land, forests, and grassland tend to decrease with the percentages respectively 87,32%, 23,66%, 38,36%, 10,79%, 100,79%, and 25,49%. The rate of shoreline changes in the Ciletuh Bay area based on the average EPR value is 1,9 meters/year with a percentage of 51% of the coastline experiencing very high accretion. The maximum accretion that occurred was 10,3 meters in the Cimarinjung River area and a maximum abrasion of 4,7 meters in the Ciletuh River area. text
