RESERVOIR CHARACTERIZATION AND MODELING USING INVERSION SEISMIC AND SEQUENTIAL GAUSSIAN SIMULATION METHOD IN “IRA” FIELD, ASRI BASIN, SOUTHEAST SUMATERA

The "IRA" field located in the Offshore Southeast Sumatra area is one of the development fields in the Asri Basin. The main formation that becomes the reservoir rock is Talang Akar formation with a total production of 23.03 MMBO. Reservoir characterization is needed to optimize the oil...

INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/69103 The "IRA" field located in the Offshore Southeast Sumatra area is one of the development fields in the Asri Basin. The main formation that becomes the reservoir rock is Talang Akar formation with a total production of 23.03 MMBO. Reservoir characterization is needed to optimize the oil production by using well data and seismic data. To characterize the reservoir, it is necessary to have rock elastic parameters that are sensitive to changes in lithology and reservoir rock properties. This sensitive parameter delineates into seismic data using seismic inversion and multi-attribute seismic methods. In this study, to optimize well data in the depth domain, velocity modeling was carried out by integrating seismic velocity with check shot data so that the time-depth conversion process could be more accurate. After obtaining the optimal velocity model, static modeling in the depth domain can be carried out so that the data of wells that do not have a check shot can be included in the analysis of properties such as porosity and volume of shale. The distribution of reservoir rock properties is carried out using the sequential gaussian simulation method with the second variable is the volume resulting from the seismic inversion. text
