INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/69109 For people with visual impairments, information can only be received through printed media using a braille writing system or through sound media. Thus, there is an information gap between those who are visually impaired and those who aren’t. However, with the continuous development of technology used by humans, this gap can be reduced. One of the technologies that can be used to narrow the gap is audiobooks. This study focuses on designing an interaction design for application on the Android platform for PDP users to use audio books. The design process is carried out using a user-centered design approach that involves the target user in the development process. The result, in the form of a high-fidelity prototype on the Android platform, will be as close as possible to the user's needs. The design process begins with collecting data through questionnaires and interviews. From the data that has been collected, two prototypes are designed, namely a low-fidelity prototype and a high-fidelity prototype. The two prototypes were then tested on the target user to analyze the task completion rate, single ease question (SEQ), system usability scale (SUS), and post-test questionnaire to determine whether the prototype had met the targeted usability and user experience goals, namely effective to use, easy to use, and helpful. Based on the evaluation of the test results, it was found that the prototype design had succeeded in achieving the targeted usability and user experience goals. text |
