To solve urban related problems related to urban villages, , a solution is needed for transforming a marginalized space into an independent city’s component and also assisting the formation of a more resilient city one of which by the transformatio n of urban village into creative tourism village. One of the creative tourism villages which has formed by the Government of Bandung City is the Cigadung Creative Tourism Village which was inaugurated in 2020. However, there are problems with the Cigadung Creative Tourism Village related to collaboration between actors and the provision of infrastructure that has not been optimal. Thus, this study aims to identify the role of the Bandung City Government in developing Cigadung Creative Tourism Village with the aim for identifying the government's role through three roles, namely motivator, facilitator, and dynamist in developing Cigadung Creative Tourism Village. Information related to the government's role was obtained through interviews and literature review and then processed through qualitative descriptive analysis with content analysis
