In this field there is thin sandstone reservoirs in the Late Miocene Age interval. This study aims to identify the depositional environment facies, lateral distribution of reservoirs, and lateral distribution of economic pay sandstone reservoir in the DL5 – DL4B sequence in the Late Miocene Age. This study uses 3D PSTM seismic data and seven well data, which previously have been identified containing sandstone reservoir. Target zones are be determined based on log data, biostratigraphy report, petrophysics data, and seismic data. Then, analysis is carried out to separate both lithology and the fluids contained within using crossplots of the log data. Integration of seismic attributes and seismic stratigraphy methods is then carried out to further identify the distribution of reservoirs on the field. Simple calculations is carried out to determine the thickness of the economic pay from the log data based on specified parameters. Then, correlation between attributes is carried out to find the best relationship to economic pay. Based on the analysis, there are two main sandstone reservoirs, namely 920 and 930 located between DL5 – DL4B sequence boundary. The 920 sandstone reservoir are turbidite deposits which deposited on channel geometry. The 930 sandstone reservoir are turbidite deposits which deposited on slope fan and channel geometry. The distribution of hydrocarbon reservoir can be well mapped using seismic attributes. Finally, the use of RMS amplitude * 1/variance and sweetness * 1/variance succeeded in mapping the distribution of economic pay on channel and slope fan geometry. text |
