MULTIVARIATE ANALYSIS OF LAND USE CHANGES ON RIVER WATER QUALITY IN THE CIKAPUNDUNG RIVER
Cikapundung River is one of the rivers located in West Java. The Cikapundung subwatershed itself has an area of about 434.43 km2 which originates around Mount Bukit Tunggul and Mount Pangparang in Cipanjalu Village, Cilengkrang District. The Cikapundung subwatershed itself has an area of about 434.43 km2 which originates around Mount Bukit Tunggul and Mount Pangparang in Cipanjalu Village, Cilengkrang District. The use of land around the Cikapundung sub-watershed is quite diverse, resulting in the use of Cikapundung River water being affected which in turn affects the water quality. This study was conducted to identify the type of pollutant in the river in the Cikapundung sub-watershed using the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method. The time span used in the study is from 2010 to 2019. The river segmentation used in the study is only upstream. Land use classification is focused on three types, namely built-up land, agriculture, and vegetation using the Google Earth Engine application. In the spatiotemporal analysis, 13 parameters and three measurement points are used, namely in the upstream, middle, and downstream parts with a range of years from 2016 to 2019. The results obtained show that in a spatiotemporal manner, the data obtained is quite fluctuating. The results of the PCA analysis that have been carried out show that there are four important components that pollute the Cikapundung River with the main parameters of each component being TSS, TDS, Cd, NO3, F, Zn, BOD5, COD, and fecal coliform. Based on the results of the PCA carried out, built-up land is the type of land use that causes the greatest pollution to the Cikapundung River. text |

Cikapundung River is one of the rivers located in West Java. The Cikapundung subwatershed itself has an area of about 434.43 km2 which originates around Mount
Bukit Tunggul and Mount Pangparang in Cipanjalu Village, Cilengkrang District.
The use of land around the Cikapundung sub-watershed is quite diverse, resulting
in the use of Cikapundung River water being affected which in turn affects the water
quality. This study was conducted to identify the type of pollutant in the river in the
Cikapundung sub-watershed using the Principal Component Analysis (PCA)
method. The time span used in the study is from 2010 to 2019. The river
segmentation used in the study is only upstream. Land use classification is focused
on three types, namely built-up land, agriculture, and vegetation using the Google
Earth Engine application. In the spatiotemporal analysis, 13 parameters and three
measurement points are used, namely in the upstream, middle, and downstream
parts with a range of years from 2016 to 2019. The results obtained show that in a
spatiotemporal manner, the data obtained is quite fluctuating. The results of the
PCA analysis that have been carried out show that there are four important
components that pollute the Cikapundung River with the main parameters of each
component being TSS, TDS, Cd, NO3, F, Zn, BOD5, COD, and fecal coliform. Based
on the results of the PCA carried out, built-up land is the type of land use that
